A selection of our senior Gifted & Talented ākonga had the opportunity to attend an Oxford-Cambridge University Thriving Minds Experience Day, hosted by St Andrew’s College. It was a fantastic day consisting of philosophical pondering and debate such as ‘when is it okay to break the rules’ and ‘how music has shaped humanity’. Year 12 student, Robyn Mackay, bravely contributed to the friendly debate against the other attending schools surrounding the prospect of a social media ban for under 16s in NZ. Our students left feeling inspired and represented Kaiapoi High School wonderfully.
