Insurance
As a condition of enrolment, all international students are required to have an insurance policy that adheres to the Ministry of Education’s Code of Practice. At the time of enrolment, the school can assist in organizing the insurance policy. Alternatively, students can arrange their own insurance and provide the school with the policy details.
For more information about insurance, please refer to NZQA’s Insurance for international school learner’s webpage by clicking the following link:
Orientation
Before international students start their classes, they participate in an orientation program where they have the opportunity to meet with the International Director. During this meeting, they discuss their specific course of study and any questions or concerns they may have.
As part of the orientation process, all new students are required to take an English test. This test helps us determine their English proficiency level, which in turn helps us with class placement. It also assists in assessing the number of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) hours the student may need to successfully handle mainstream study requirements.
This thorough process ensures that students receive appropriate support and are placed in classes that align with their language abilities and academic goals.
Health and Safety
Health and safety for international students is our top priority.
