KHS students visit the University of Canterbury for the 2026 Chinese Language Pathway Workshop

Our International Department works closely with the University of Canterbury (UC) to provide valuable opportunities and pathway information for our students.

On Friday, our junior students currently studying Mandarin attended a series of engaging language workshop sessions at UC.

The workshop brought together students from KHS, Lincoln High School, and St Thomas of Canterbury College. During the Q&A session, our students demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge spanning geography, history, and culture, winning several prizes along the way! Of course, a major highlight for everyone was the delicious lunch provided by UC.

Shotoki Gakuen Junior High School visits KHS

A group of students from Shotoku Gakuen Junior High School visited our school last week, marking their third consecutive year coming to KHS for a cultural exchange.

They brought fantastic energy along with a wonderful traditional dance performance for all KHS students to enjoy. Our students thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and one parent even shared that her daughter couldn’t stop talking about it all night!

We are thrilled to keep KHS vibrant, fun, and connected to the wider world through global cultural exchanges.
