On Tuesday 11th February the four of us, Hannah, Issie, Mereani, and Waimarie, attended a leadership retreat held by SPACPAC.
SPACPAC is an organisation that aims to encourage Pacific success and achievement through holding events such as this. This retreat gives leaders from kura all over Ōtautahi the opportunity to combine our thoughts and ideas and develop our leadership skills.
Throughout the day we engaged in activities and workshops that grew our knowledge and understanding of what leadership is and how we can implement ideas into our kura. It was really helpful to have a kōrero with leaders from other schools, as we shared experiences and learned from one another. We enjoyed the day and had heaps of fun connecting with new people and learning how to be better leaders!
