On Monday 24th February, 9J and 9N spent the day at Spencer Park for their Adventure Day as part of the Peer Support programme at Kaiapoi High School.

40 Year 9 students were taken through a variety of fun and engaging activities supervised by 21 Peer Support leaders. These Years 12 and 13 students did an excellent job running the day’s events, taking on the responsibility without the need for teacher intervention. We are so proud of our leaders and their capabilities.

We were fortunate with the weather being sunny and warm. This meant some of our Year 9 students were eager to get a little more wet than their Peer Support leaders had planned. Awesome efforts all around made this adventure one to remember.

This Adventure Day is a key part of our Peer Support programme, fostering bonding, helping students form new friendships, and strengthening connections within their class. A big thank you to both the staff and the Peer Support leaders who volunteered their time to make the day a success!
