On Wednesday 19th February, 45 Year 9 students from classes 9D and 9P spent the day at Spencer Park, taking part in a range of fun activities as part of the Peer Support programme at Kaiapoi High School. The day’s events were run by 17 Peer Support leaders, senior Year 12 and 13 students, who did a fantastic job leading the activities.
The warm weather was especially helpful for those who didn’t quite master some of the challenges, as a few activities had the potential to leave students a little wet! It was great to see our leaders confidently running the sessions while teachers were able to step back and watch the activities unfold.
This Adventure Day is an important part of our Peer Support programme, helping students bond, form new friendships, and strengthen connections within their class. A huge thank you to both the staff and the Peer Support leaders who volunteered their time to make the day a success!
