The Year 13 Economics class recently had the privilege of travelling to Auckland.
The three-day field trip to Auckland was to visit a range of different businesses where we heard about different events that occurred and how they affected them economically.
We toured around the Tip Top Factory where we learnt about their history and the ins and outs of making ice cream as the largest ice cream company in the southern hemisphere. We were also toured around Auckland University of Technology and their many exciting recreational facilities available to students. Also, we spent an afternoon going on exhilarating rides at Rainbow’s End and visited SkyCity for the All Blacks Experience.
In our free time, we were lucky enough to have sunny weather as we walked up the One Tree Hill path, absorbing in the beautiful 360° views of the city. It was overall a fun-filled learning experience for us, making memories with our small class, and a great trip to end our last year of high school.
