Kaiapoi High School and ShenZhen Hua Lang School unite for Cultural Exchange.
Kaiapoi High School has recently marked an exciting milestone by establishing a partnership with ShenZhen Hua Lang School in China through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The collaboration is centered on fostering cultural exchange and providing valuable learning opportunities for students from both schools.
Preliminary meetings with the Senior Leadership Team of ShenZhen Hua Lang School highlighted significant similarities in the schools’ approaches to teaching, student development, and pastoral care. This synergy forms a strong foundation for a successful partnership aimed at enhancing students’ intercultural understanding and language skills.
The agreement will give Kaiapoi High School students the chance to visit Hua Lang School for short cultural immersion experiences, including sampling traditional Chinese food. Simultaneously, Hua Lang School students will have the opportunity to experience the unique aspects of the New Zealand education system.
