It has been a great start to the year for the Level 2 Building class. The main project they are completing is a bus shelter in the main car park area. The year started with pouring our own purpose-made concrete moulds for the site fencing set-up. This was a great small project to begin the year. Then we moved on to setting up the building profiles, completing digging out for the poles, and concreting some of the poles in place. We were lucky to get some leftover concrete supplied by Christchurch Ready Mix, which helped speed up the concreting part.
The class has pulled together well and done some very hard work to start the year. They should be proud of their work effort and achievements.
