On Friday April 4th, the Waimakariri District Council hosted a prizegiving for the 2025 winners of the Race Unity Day poster competition. It was held at the Mainpower Stadium in Rangiora, where winners from all age categories were celebrated. This year’s theme was ‘Small Steps Together for Unity’. We had five deserving prize recipients from Kaiapoi High School. Althea Bolivar, Betina Pineda, Luuk Vree, Carol Sami, and Francis Boris received their prizes from Mayor Dan Gordon and had their work publicly displayed.
