L3 ODED Kayaking at Banks Peninsula

On 7th May the Year 13 Outdoor Education class started their sea kayak trip.
We were at Sumner at around 10 am. It was a bit cold, and it took us about an hour to pack our kayaks.
Everyone had a double kayak. Then we really started our 3 day trip. We stayed at Horomaka Island the first night. Even if some of us got sea sick, we had a pretty good day. The next two days were amazing. We saw some dolphins, the sea was really calm and everything was there to enjoy our trip! The last days was shorter, we finished at Cass Bay around 1 o’clock on the afternoon, we emptied the kayak, fixed them on the trailer and finally cleaned them back at school. We had an awesome and fun time!
