Year 9 Digital Technology

Year 9 Digital Technology is a compulsory course for those students who are not taking a language. It runs for a trimester (approximately 13 weeks). The course gives students an opportunity to learn a variety of skills and programs that will assist them in other curriculum areas.

The primary focus at this level is to ensure students can create documents/outcomes which are fit for the purpose and follow good design principles. Digital Information and Digital Media are the Digital Technology strands covered at this level. These include:

    Word Processing
    Spreadsheets
    Desktop Publishing
    Media Presentations

Students will be assessed against the Level 4 Technology Strands
    Technological Planning
    Technological Knowledge
    Nature of Technology
