Classes will work through at least three of the above internal assessments during the year, as well as studying towards the external exam. It is important that you gain at least 14 credits for entry into Level 3 English, including some credits gained in the external exam.

You need at least 4 Level 2 Reading and 4 Level 2 Writing credits in order to qualify for entry to university and for selected courses at some Polytechnics and Trade Academies (check with the Careers Teacher and relevant websites).

202
This course allows students to focus only on internal credits and work through them in a more structured manner.

The 202 course is assessed entirely through credits gained internally, totalling 23 credits altogether.  Students will not be required to sit the external exam in November.  To enter this course, students must have gained 1o credits in a Level 1 English class.

English 202 is a stand-alone course. This means students do not advance to Level 3 English. There may be exceptions made for students who excel in this course.
