   Kapahaka


All students of all year levels are able to join the Kaiapoi High School Kapahaka ropu. The Kapahaka ropu is heavily involved in greeting the various visitors that come to our school. We also participate in the annual North Canterbury Kapahaka Celebration. Those students that perform at this Celebration are able to gain
Kapahaka unit standards. Students are expected to practice at least once a week during their own time and are allowed a certain amount of class time aswell. Prior to major events the students will be expected to wananga(intense workshops) during their own time to prepare.
